Level Pool Routing Hydrologic Routing for Reservoir or Level Pool Routing Hydrologic routing predicts the flow of water through a river system, whereas level pool routing focuses on the changes in water levels in reservoirs or lakes. However, Level Pool Routing is referred to as Hydrologic Routing of the Reservoirs as the water level of the reservoir is assumed to be horizontal or level at the time of prediction of the outflow hydrograph.
