Miami "King Tides" are a regular phenomenna now

King tides which was a irregular phenomena in Miami is now seems to be a regular one.The experts are blaming the climate change for this. But a phenomenna like this which  is caused by gravitational force without the assistance of rainfall.

How climate change can effect that ???

One reason can be attributed to the increased frequency of storms and rainfall;rise in sea level which is influenced by the climate change can add to the tidal flow. The erosion in the river banks and the sedimentation that may have reduced the depth of the water canals  can also attributed for this frequent king tides not only in Miami but also in the other places of the World.

But still blaming only the change in climate for king tides is not justified.

Top Three Journals in Hydrology and Climate Change

Recently I have posted the top three journals from the topic of hydrology and climate change. The journals were selected based on the Citation Frequency,Frequency of Publication,Publisher Status,Ease of Publication process etc. While selecting these journals, the topic of the published articles were verified.Only those journals which publishes articles related to the theme topic are considered. The following journals were found to be three most suitable journals in which you can publish your paper related to hydrology : 1.Hydrology Sciences Journal,Taylor and Francis 2.Journal of Hydrology,Elsevier 3.Lake and Reservoir Management,Taylor and Francis The following journals were found to be three most suitable journals in which you can publish your paper related to Climate Change : 1.Acta Meterologica Sinica,Springer 2.Climate Change,Springer 3.Weather and Climate Extremes,Elsevier For the links please visit the home page.

Retention Change Indicator

Watershed retain water from rainfall within its soil pores and depressions available in the basin. If this capacity of retention get receeded there will be stress on the supply of both water and food to dependent consumers. Check, whether the watershed on which you are staying maintains a healthy retention capacity ? A new tool will help you to ascertain the same and make you prepared for the uncertainties that may come if the retention capacity of your watershed has changed negatively. Get the tool from www.baipatra.ws Thanks, Mrinmoy
