Indigenous method of Drip Irrigation devised by a farmer in Madhya Pradesh





The installation of drip irrigation system cost around Rs 1.25 lakh per hectare.The cost for maintenance is also high.This type of system incurs water to the crop in drip manner so that soil moisture can be kept at optimum level most of the time.

A farmer in Madhya Pradesh has reduced the cost of drip irrigation to about Rs.2500 by using saline bottles as droppers,a storage tank to store water and some plastic pipes for bringing the water to the dripper.

Such innovative applications of waste materials can save money as well as reduce the necessity of disposal which is now a big issue in the western world.
