Six types of filters mostly used in purifying water for city dwellers: Issue 1 of HydroGeek Newsletters

HydroGeek Vol 1 Issue 1

Filters are used to purify or convert raw untreated water into drinkable or pure water which can be safely consumed by a human being. After purification, this water has to adhere to the standards proposed by a regulating authority responsible for the said purpose. Every country has its own standards. Generally, different types of filters are used to remove or neutralize five major types of impurities observed in water:  Total and faecal coliform, Biological Oxygen Demand, Hardness, Heavy Metals and Turbidity to achieve those standards. In addition to this, there are other impurities also but if a filter can reduce or neutralize the above five impurities then the filter is allowed to be used as a self-sustainable unit for producing drinking water. The first edition of HydroGeek tries to highlight the role of water filters in creating "sustainable and healthy human life", with the following content :

1) Six types of filters mostly  used in purifying water for city dwellers
2) Five most common contaminants in rural water and how to remove them?
3) How to identify the filter for purifying raw water?
4) Tutorial: Analytical Hierarchy Process
5) Tutorial: Analytical Network Process
6) Smart Use of Water and Energy in Domestic Households
7) Tools: Simple Decision Maker by AHP
8) Recent Jobs in Water Quality Engineering

Top 5 Questions, Answer to which, will be the Next Big Thing In Sustainability Research

DOWNLOAD THE CLICKABLE DOCUMENT We are all searching for a contemporary but on-demand topic of research, such that based on that topic, we can prepare papers that journals can accept, or Ph.D. and Postgraduates can be obtained. Normally, we search the existing journals, books, conferences, etc. depositories to find a gap in the research but this subjective search yields the better within the literature we had searched, but, when some more manuscripts are included, the gaps may change. If you have the same experience, then you are in the correct place.  Here we propose not any topic but five most sought-after questions, whose answers are supposed to change the pace of “Sustainability Research”, and you can easily get your suitable topic of research from these answers.  Subscribe to this blog through Substack / Subscribe to our product feed :

Five examples of circular economy in water conservation

This presentation depicts five examples of circular economy used in water resource management.  Circular Economy aims at reducing waste by introducing the concept of reuse/recycle/refurbish of products thereby reducing pollution and energy use which in turn makes a project sustainable as well as cost-effective. Seven Most Tenable Application of Artificial Intelligence on Water Resource Management Problems

AI or Artificial Intelligence is a pioneering technique that has enabled the creation of intelligent machines. or smart machines which have the power to self adapt based on the situation presented to them. It requires situations whose response is known and based on this training data set it learns the problems which it has to solve when it is ready. Due to the alarming success with AI in robotics, electronics, etc fields the same technique is now used to solve the problems of water resource management. This ppt shows the seven most notable use of AI in water resources-based problems where satisfactory improvement has encouraged the further application of the technique.
